How to Host a Presentation

How can you host a climate presentation? We’re glad you asked. More than 3,000 trained Presenters are ready to deliver our multimedia presentation about the reality of climate change. You’ll engage your community. You’ll learn about the reality we face. And we think you’ll have some fun in the process.

Here are a few simple steps you can take to host a presentation:

1) Think about who you’d like to invite and where you’d like the presentation to take place. You could host a presentation in your workplace, in your home, or in a community center. You could work with a local school to arrange a presentation for students. Or you could host a presentation in your place of worship.

2) Go online and request a presentation. An organizer will contact you shortly based on the information you enter. Remember: These Presentations are absolutely free.

3) Once we’ve connected you with a Presenter, it’s time to get creative! You can make this event more than just holding a presentation. You could plan a panel discussion, trivia contest or special meal. You could discuss opportunities to get involved in your community.

4) Send out your invitations and get ready! You’ve taken an important step toward getting your community involved in solving the climate crisis.

How can I become a presenter? I am a former middle school teacher and have no problem speaking in front of crowds. This is an issue that I truly am passionate about, which makes for a better presentation.

    Best regards,

Yes I would like to know if solar and wind power can help change the way we live and good for our climate change if we all go for a greener world and we could have a fresher would with the way we live and I’m talking about clean renewable energy and solar power and wind turbine is the way we can help bring back the hole world

I’ve just returned from a trip to Ohio where I was able to see and drive a General Motors fuel-cell car fueled with hydrogen. One tank of hydrogen delivers about 300 miles and has zero emissions–just water vapor. We can use wind or solar power today to split water into hydrogen and oxygen. Hydrogen is the way to store wind and solar energy. Rather than selling surplus wind power to the grid at $.06 or less per kwh one could produce hydrogen. At $.06/kwh the hydrogen would produce the energy equivalent to that in a gallon of gasoline for only $1.50 per gge. At off peak, low demand hours the power company may pay as little as $0.0025/kwh. We need distributed wind and solar to move to a renewable energy base. Hydrogen can help lead the way.

From my experience of applying in 2006, you put your passion for this and your heart and soul on your sleeve and then you wait a couple of months with no response about it until you have to ask about it and then get told you didn’t meet the quota. I also don’t have political connections, I’m not rich, I’m not a “movei star” or singer and I’m not the head of an environmental organization like the WWF, so I guess those like us who really are the “average” people out here with knowledge, passion and a desire to share it just based on that alone don’t rate. You would think since this is an urgent crisis whoever volunteered to do this would have been accepted, but that was not the case.
