Beijing: What you can do

September 12, 2011 | 12:00 am |

Beijing is one of the featured locations in 24 Hours of Reality. Once you learn how the reality of climate change is impacting Beijing, here’s how you can help.

The Climate Reality Project has partnered with 350.org, a worldwide organization that is building a global grassroots movement to solve the climate crisis. Its online campaigns, grassroots organizing and mass public actions are led from the bottom up by thousands of volunteer organizers in over 188 countries.

On September 24, 350.org will host Moving Planet, a rally on the ground in communities worldwide to demand solutions to the climate crisis. In the city of Beijing, residents will be asked to not drive their cars for the entire day as a sign that dirty fossil fuels need to be replaced with clean, renewable energy sources. There will be thousands more local events around the world. We invite you to join Moving Planet. Click here to find an event near you.
