Sea levels are rising … due to both the warming of ocean waters and the melting of ice on land. Massive ice sheets in Greenland and Antarctica store enormous volumes of water in the form of ice — and in the last two decades, an increasing amount of meltwater from the ice sheets has flowed into the sea.
