A firm believer that Old Bay goes on everything and that the Oxford comma is non-negotiable, Allen (he/him) hails from the great city of Baltimore, MD. From a young age, camping trips to the Shenandoah and class lessons on the Chesapeake Bay cemented a love and appreciation for nature and conservation in his mind. He earned a BS in Foreign Service with a focus on gender and sexuality in western Asia from Georgetown. While on campus, Allen was active in reproductive justice and LGBTQ advocacy, helping organize students and provide resources to them. Before joining The Climate Reality Project, Allen was in digital email fundraising as an editor, helping to ensure that donor messages and fundraising asks were compelling, factual, and grammatically correct. In his spare time, Allen enjoys finding new hiking trails, painting and drawing, and spouting facts about Maryland.
