Asif Nawaz Shah is the head of CHAMP Impact and Global Partnerships at C40 Cities and the Global Covenant of Mayors, leading efforts to integrate subnational priorities into national climate plans through the Coalition for High Ambition Multilevel Partnerships (CHAMP). Previously, he led subnational climate initiatives for the COP 28 UAE presidency, managed strategic campaigns and partnerships for Expo 2020 Dubai, and advised the public sector and nonprofits on urban governance, air quality, and environmental policy. He holds a BA in political science from Columbia University and is from Lahore, Pakistan.
