Ava Acevedo
Ava Acevedo (she/her) is a 19-year-old organizer dedicated to building collective student power to demand just, wide-scale climate solutions. She founded and continues to mentor leaders for the Lodi Unified Green Schools Campaign in her hometown and is now a member of the Green Schools Campaign Advisory Committee. As an undergraduate at Stanford, she studies Public Policy and Environmental Justice, researching farmworkers’ healthcare access and Central Valley air pollution mitigation. She is involved in Fossil Free Stanford and the Coalition for a True School of Sustainability, both dedicated to disentangling the university from fossil fuel money. In her free time, Ava enjoys playing guitar and singing with Mariachi Cardenal and spending time with friends and family.
