Awa Traore is the Senegal country lead for the Global Strategic Communications Council hosted by Meliore Foundation. She works on formulating and overseeing the country strategy and building strategic communications and partnerships to promote a just energy transition in Senegal and the West African francophone region.  
Awa is an international consultant in climate and strategic communications, a project manager, and a justice, equity, diversity, inclusion and racial justice expert. She is the winner of the 2021 Green Awards' Most Influential Young Women Prize in Senegal, and part of the 2023 five African women shaping the climate conversation. She holds MBAs in business administration/banking finance, international trade & finance, project management, and communication/journalism.
