Caterina Sarfatti is managing director for inclusion and global leadership at C40 cities, leading the global department that deals with just transition, climate justice, advocacy, and international climate campaigns. Caterina leads a team of more than 40 people around the world to provide mayors and local governments with support to implement environmental policies that are inclusive, equitable, and supported by civil society. Previously, Caterina worked for the mayor’s office in Milan and for Italian and French non-governmental organizations for the protection of migrants and refugees’ rights. An expert in urban development, policy making, and international diplomacy, she is the author of numerous articles on climate change and human migration.
