Dan Stiles (he/him) is an accomplished general counsel and advisor with a distinguished background in representing non-profits, political organizations and other businesses focused on climate change, sustainability and conservation. Dan provides legal counsel to organizations seeking to make a positive human impact doing advocacy work from main street to Congress and the United Nations. Dan’s legal and risk management acumen is valued by leading domestic and international nonprofit organizations whose work is subject to the highest levels of regulatory and public/political scrutiny. Dan has served as a strategic advisor and general counsel for The Climate Reality Project since 2009.
Dan also serves on the Board of Directors of ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability, USA, and the Board of the Salazar Center for North American Conservation, founded by former U.S. Secretary of the Interior and U.S. Ambassador to Mexico, Ken Salazar. He has served in leadership roles in federal and state politics from Deputy Chief Counsel to the DNCC for the Democratic National Convention and counsel for state and federal candidates to managing logistics for national and international press for a U.S. Presidential campaign. Dan lives in Boulder, Colorado, and spends his free time adventuring in the outdoors with his family.
