Emma Huynh
(she/her/hers) Emma is a freshman studying environmental science engineering at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). She started to work with the Green Schools Campaign through the Long Beach Green Schools Campaign in 2021 where, as part of the core team, she wrote and passed board policy 3510.1 in the Long Beach Unified School District. She hopes to work locally and internationally to create greener, cleaner, and more sustainable areas to inhabit for the generations to come. In addition to her work in climate justice, Emma is passionate and proactive about media diversity and the appreciation of Asian American culture. At UCLA she is involved with Samahang Pilipino as an intern for multiple of their projects to support and uplift the Filipino community at the school and surrounding areas. When she’s not working you can find her with her nose stuck in a book, going with friends for a boba/matcha run, or just relaxing at the beach with snacks from Trader Joe’s!
