Gavin McCormick (he/him) is executive director of WattTime, an environmental non-profit that invented a high-speed timing technique called Automated Emissions Reduction (AER). Today, over 500 million electricity-consuming devices (EVs, batteries, thermostats, computers, etc.) use AER daily to automatically suppress the output of nearby fossil fuel power plants and increase clean energy output instead. Gavin also co-founded Climate TRACE, a coalition of over 100 non-profits, environmental researchers, and tech companies that came together to collaboratively build an AI- and sensor-based system that transparently monitors the greenhouse gas emissions of over 340 million of the highest-emitting individual facilities and sources worldwide.
