Gina Thompson (she/her) is excited to be the Digital Communications Engagement and Fundraising Intern this summer. She is a student at Oberlin College, where she is double majoring in Environmental Studies and English. At Oberlin, she is a member of Students for Energy Justice, their climate justice action group, and the Green Edge Fund, the student board that finances sustainability projects in the campus and community. Gina has been working with a grassroots nonprofit in her hometown of Irvine, CA, and hopes to continue a career in the nonprofit sector when she graduates. Ultimately, she strives to combine her passions for language and the environment to help create a sustainable planet. Outside of her big career goals, she enjoys reading, baking, playing board games, and doing several grandma-like crafts including crochet and embroidery.
