Justin Jones (he, him, his)
Vice Chair, Clark County Commission
Justin Jones was elected to the Clark County Commission in 2018 and was selected by his colleagues to serve as vice chair in 2022. Since joining the County Commission, Jones has championed the adoption of the County’s first climate action plan, expanding transit and active transportation options, increasing access to community parks and trails, and preserving public lands. In addition to his role as county commissioner, Jones serves on several regional boards, including as chair of the Southern Nevada Regional Planning Coalition, vice chair of the Regional Transportation Commission, vice chair of the Regional Flood Control District, and as a member of the Southern Nevada Water Authority. Jones previously served in the Nevada State Senate, including as assistant majority whip and chair of the Health and Human Services Committee. While in the Legislature, Jones advanced legislation regarding conservation, gun violence prevention, and marriage equality. Jones is a graduate of Brigham Young University (1997) and the George Washington University Law School (2001), where he served as editor-in-chief of the Environmental Lawyer journal. Jones is also a founding partner in the law firm of Jones Lovelock, and is a proud Climate Reality Leader, having trained in Minneapolis, MN in 2019.
