Keala Minna-Choe (she/her) is a freshman at the University of Texas at Austin from San Diego, California. She got involved with The Climate Reality Project during the August 2020 Virtual Training and has worked with the organization ever since. Recognizing a gap in youth participation at her local chapter, Keala helped co-found and co-lead the Youth Environmental Action (YEA) Pod, which works to raise awareness and promote action on climate change to San Diego youth. In the fall of 2022, she joined the Green Schools Campaign, where she worked to help lead and revitalize student-run campaigns that advocate for 100% renewable energy in school districts nationwide. Keala hopes to pursue a career in sustainable and climate-resilient building development.
