Laura Deutsch
Executive Office Director
(She/Her/Hers) Laura Deutsch is the executive office director. She holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Policy from Lehigh University where she performed Lehigh’s first Greenhouse Gas Inventory and oversaw the development of a 1-acre community garden. After graduating, she moved to Connecticut and worked as a Research Associate for GlobalINT, an environmental consulting firm that specializes in strategic climate change scenario planning. In 2012, after moving to DC, she joined the office of Minnesota Congressman Tim Walz, concentrating on energy legislation, local conservation issues, and the farm bill. Most recently, Laura worked at Oceana, where she focused on combating seafood fraud and promoting offshore wind projects along the East Coast. In her spare time, Laura enjoys cooking, gardening, tennis, and traveling. Aside from international travel, she has been to 49 states and despite everyone’s initial assumption that Hawaii would be number one, Alaska is her favorite state.
