Maggie O’Hanlon (she/her/hers) joins The Climate Reality Project as a digital communications intern. She holds a dual bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan University in Environmental Studies and American Government & Politics. At Wesleyan, Maggie took particular interest in the study of environmental communication, completing a capstone research project on contemporary progressive climate change framing in the democratic congressional party. Prior to joining The Climate Reality Project, Maggie has held a number of roles at environmental justice focused nonprofits, including as a campaign intern at Corporate Accountability and as a Boston hub intern at the Sunrise Movement. She also currently sits on the board of directors of STEAM Train, a Connecticut based nonprofit committed to moving underserved, under-resourced, and underrepresented populations to careers in STEM. Maggie currently lives in Brooklyn, NY, and in her spare time can be found hiking, cooking new foods, reading, crocheting, and spending time with her friends and community!
