Marisa Sandoval

Climate Training Manager

Marisa Sandoval is a climate training manager at The Climate Reality Project. Growing up in Denver, Colorado, she is driven by a deep love of nature and passion for protecting the environment. Prior to joining The Climate Reality Project, she developed her expertise in advancing climate action by coordinating national climate and environmental justice field campaigns at National Wildlife Federation and supporting global climate coalitions, events, and engagements through a graduate internship at World Wildlife Fund. The opportunity to work with environmental advocates and leaders throughout her career inspired her deepen her understanding of climate issues and led her to pursue a dual master’s degree in natural resource and sustainable development from the U.N. University for Peace in San José, Costa Rica and international affairs from American University in Washington, DC. In her spare time, Marisa enjoys camping, hiking, gardening, and living the plant/cat mom life with her husband in SW DC.
