Mattia Lucertini is a research fellow at the University of Bologna specializing in sustainability and circular economy. With a background in environmental sciences and a master’s degree in low-carbon technologies in partnership with the European Institute of Innovation and Technology Climate-KIC, he guides individuals, communities, and organizations through just and equitable eco-transitions. He serves as the national coordinator at GYBN Italy, a youth-led network advocating for biodiversity conservation. Trained as a Climate Reality Leader in 2021, Mattia actively organizes initiatives and events to raise awareness and co-create sustainable solutions. Previously, he collaborated with businesses to develop mitigation strategies.
