Michelle Jackson (she/her) is a fourth-generation farmer born and raised, but her day-to-day work includes roles as president and executive director leveraging her robust background in the farming industry. With a proven track record of leadership in nonprofit organizations and government sectors, Michelle excels in community, program, and human development, just to name a few areas. Michelle leads Sustainable Community Farms (SCF) where she is dedicated to improving the eating habits of Detroit residents and fostering peaceful community relationships. Currently SCF is partnering with the City of Detroit Office of Sustainability on Detroit’s Climate Strategy Plan, where the community will design 200 acres of solar and 100 acres of community composting.
