Naomi Mermin (she/her) runs Naomi Mermin Consulting, a woman-owned strategy firm building community-driven, inclusive solutions to environmental problems. As a professor at Tufts University, Naomi focused on lead poisoning, asthma, and the urban environment. She ran two New England regional coalitions, uniting CBOs, state, and federal partners to build solutions. In 2001, she opened Naomi Mermin Consulting to increase her direct work with communities. In 2008, US EPA named her a Children’s Environmental Champion for this work. Since 2010, her focus has been climate strategy. Naomi is currently working with philanthropic and utility partners to support environmental justice CBOs and municipalities with large disadvantaged populations to build equitable clean energy futures.
