Washington, DC (February 2025) – The Climate Reality Project, a nonprofit climate organization founded by former US Vice President Al Gore, is launching the REALITY® Tour to build the political will, public momentum, and ambition for bold climate commitments leading up to the UNFCCC’s COP 30 in Brazil.

In a first for The Climate Reality Project, Al Gore will give his signature presentation on the climate crisis in 12 languages, using state-of-the-art AI powered by technology from Metaphysic, enabling people from around the world to tune in live to learn the latest about climate impacts and solutions. The 2025 tour will also include in-person trainings the world over, with major events in Paris, Nairobi, Rio de Janeiro, and Ulaanbaatar. Climate Reality branch offices in nine countries will also host satellite events throughout the year.

With emissions, temperatures, and anti-climate action rhetoric rising worldwide, world leaders are in danger of missing critical 2030 emissions reduction targets. This tour will rally people worldwide to make their voices heard and encourage public and private sector decisionmakers to take ambitious and necessary action to avert climate catastrophe – at COP 30 and beyond.

The tour features three components:

  1. Global In-Person Advocacy Trainings: Kicking off 28–30 March in Paris, France – the city that is home to the historic Paris Agreement that galvanized climate action globally 10 years ago. Throughout 2025, the tour will hold major multi-day in-person trainings for advocates in Nairobi, Kenya; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; and Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

  1. Branch-led Advocacy Trainings in Climate Reality Branch Offices Worldwide: Climate Reality branch offices will host one-day trainings for advocates in their cities, growing the base of support and demand for action beyond the global trainings. On March 29, branch-led trainings will take place in Brazil, Canada, the Philippines and South Africa, and on April 5 in Fiji, India, Indonesia, Japan, and Mexico. The trainings will offer participants the opportunity to experience Vice President Gore’s signature presentation on the climate crisis and other recorded highlights from the Paris training, along with content focused on local challenges and opportunities.

  1. Online Global Experience: In addition to in-person training events, Climate Reality is establishing a dedicated digital platform with content from the global training in Paris. Those who sign up will be able to watch former Vice President Al Gore give his signature climate presentation in any of 12 available languages – Arabic, Bahasa Indonesia, Bengali, English, French, Hindi, Japanese, Mandarin, Portuguese, Spanish, Tagalog, and Urdu – and will have access to other key discussions from the Paris event. The experience will be available for audiences worldwide through COP 30 in November.

Attending a Climate Reality training equips individuals with the know-how, skills, and network to drive real change in their industries and communities while pushing their governments for ambitious commitments in line with the Paris Agreement.

The timing matters. The international scientific community has made it clear that cutting global emissions in half is critical to meet the Paris Agreement goals. But with greenhouse gas emissions still rising, upcoming talks at COP 30 represent a critical opportunity to collectively ramp up climate action ambition and commit to the plans necessary to meet the 2030 target and avert the worst impacts of the climate crisis.

“Ten years ago, nearly 200 countries put aside their differences and came together to create the Paris Agreement,” said Climate Reality founder and Chairman Al Gore, “They promised to confront the climate crisis and work together for a livable future for all of us. Ten years on, few have kept their promise. Even as the science is crystal clear that we need to halve emissions this decade to reach our Paris goals, too many countries continue to invest in fossil fuel infrastructure that is not only costly, but dangerous to the planet.

But with affordable clean energy technologies in our hands today, the world has a choice to make about the future we want and the investments we’re willing to make to get there. Ahead of COP 30 in Brazil, we’re launching the REALITY® Tour to empower people everywhere to stand up and push leaders for the ambitious climate action we need now to stop global warming and create a livable future for all of us.”

Climate Reality President and CEO Phyllis Cuttino said, “We urge people to join the REALITY® Tour, either in person or online, to help us build a better tomorrow for us all. We can work together to create a future powered by clean energy, where international cooperation on climate change is the norm. At this crucial moment in history, we are dialing up the unrelenting pressure from citizens worldwide that leaves national leaders no choice but to seize this moment and act.”
