STACIE PAXTON COBOS JOINS THE CLIMATE REALITY PROJECT

Washington, DC (May 2, 2016) – Today, leading climate organization The Climate Reality Project announced that political and public relations veteran Stacie Paxton Cobos has joined the organization as senior vice president for communications and marketing. Paxton Cobos will oversee all communications, creative content, and marketing for the organization.

Paxton Cobos brings to Climate Reality nearly two decades of experience in earned media and marketing campaigns, including social media, content creation, and advertising, most recently at global public relations firm Hill+Knowlton Strategies. An experienced campaign strategist and spokeswoman, Stacie served as national press secretary at the Democratic National Committee from 2006–2009.

“I’m excited to welcome Stacie to the Climate Reality team,” said Climate Reality President and CEO Ken Berlin. “Her expertise and skills will prove invaluable as we continue to work both domestically and internationally to champion the fight against climate change.”

Paxton Cobos has managed communications on three presidential campaigns and spent six years on Capitol Hill as a spokeswoman and senior adviser to members of Congress. Early in her career, Paxton Cobos spent several years at CNN overseeing publicity for the network’s anchors and programming.
