Statement: Ken Berlin, President and CEO of The Climate Reality Project, on the EPA’s release of the proposed Clean Energy Incentive Program

"The EPA’s proposed Clean Energy Incentive Program is an important step in mobilizing the nation to meet its commitment to expanding clean energy. The program will be critical in further empowering states to meet and exceed their carbon emissions targets for the power sector under the Clean Power Plan. We support the thoughtful provisions of this effort, including its emphasis on encouraging early action, its expansion of incentives to technologies beyond solar and wind, and its special attention to bringing low-income communities along in the transition to a clean energy economy.
