Statement from Climate Reality President & CEO, Ken Berlin, on the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis’ Climate Crisis Action Plan

“The Climate Reality Project commends the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis for its “Climate Crisis Action Plan,” an important step towards enabling a green recovery from COVID-19 and achieving a nationwide, just transition to clean energy. 

“The reality is that we are in a race against time to address the climate crisis, and a federal action plan is long overdue. We are heartened to see the House Select Committee put forth a set of comprehensive policy recommendations that accelerates the transition to a clean energy economy, invests in American workers, preserves our natural resources, and is centered in the values of environmental and economic justice. 

“This plan is an opportunity to harness the power of American innovation to advance critical climate solutions, lift up communities, and create a healthier, more equitable future for all. We urge all members of Congress to carefully consider this plan and work toward swiftly implementing these policies.”
