Rosalind Coats
Central Regional Organizer
As the central regional organizer for the The Climate Reality Project, Rosalind Coats helps local chapters in the central US develop and run grassroots climate campaigns. Growing up in Houston and witnessing the pollution and ecological degradation that comes with urbanization, she has always been passionate about climate change, while summers spent in Colorado allowed her to cultivate a deep love for the natural world. She graduated from Brown University in 2024, where she earned a BA in Environmental Studies and Comparative Literature in Spanish and Italian. Beyond in-class coursework, Rosalind spent her extracurricular hours organizing for Sunrise, a youth environmental justice movement calling for fossil fuel disassociation and a just transition. A strong believer in the intersectionality of socioenvironmental challenges, she also participated in a number of on-campus social justice and decolonial movements. Beyond her activism, Rosalind enjoys crocheting, singing, running, biking, cooking, and writing.
