Dr. Silvia Gugu is a senior governance expert in ICLEI Europe’s Climate Neutral Cities Task Force. She leads the climate transition governance work across several European research and innovation projects, with a current focus on the European Union’s mission for 100 climate-neutral and smart cities by 2030. In her current role, Silvia builds on almost 20 years of experience in researching and innovating participatory governance frameworks for sustainable urban transitions. Her contributions span both the development and the academic sectors in the USA, Romania, Italy, France, Switzerland, and Germany.
