Tim Ryder
Legislative Assistant, The Office of Senator Charles Schumer
(He/him) Tim Ryder joined Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer’s office in May 2019 and serves as the legislative assistant for disaster policy, leading the senator’s work on FEMA and disaster response policy for the caucus, as well as working closely with Adrian Deveny on climate, energy, and parts of the environmental portfolio. His climate work over the last three years has focused on the formulation, negotiation, and passage of the Inflation Reduction Act, including spearheading the modeling of law’s climate impact, while his disaster work has focused on the response to COVID-19.
