When Khushali Upadhyay saw An Inconvenient Youth as a high school student, it changed how she saw the world and led her down a path of action that saw her become a Climate Reality Leader in Nashville in 2010. She remains close friends with many of the environmentalists she met at the training, and emphasizes the importance of global awareness and youth involvement in fighting the climate crisis. “It’s my generation that’s really going to be impacted by climate change and in a very devastating way,” she says. “So why should we sit around and not do anything about it?”
