Training Programming

The complete training schedule is still in development, but confirmed sessions so far include:

Live Broadcasts

BROADCAST 1 – FRIDAY, OCTOBER 18 

Former Vice President Gore kicks of this first Broadcast with welcome remarks and then dives into his legendary presentation, offering viewers the latest on climate science, impacts, and solutions across the United States.  

BROADCAST 2 – SATURDAY, OCTOBER 19 

Broadcast two starts with an introduction to The Climate Reality Project and our work from CEO Phyllis Cuttino. Then policy, research, and community leaders delve into climate obstructionism and the power of collective action to combat disinformation and champion climate solutions. 

BROADCAST 3 – SUNDAY, OCTOBER 20 

The third and final broadcast answers the ‘Now What?” question. Learn how to stay engaged with Climate Reality after the training, mobilize your communities using Mr. Gore’s shortened slide deck, and clarify your questions during the scientist Q&A session. The broadcast will conclude with Mr. Gore’s closing remarks and presentation of the Alfredo Sirkis Green Ring Award.   

On Demand Skill-Building Sessions

Learn how to turn your climate knowledge into action with these skill-building learning videos on civic engagement, overcoming obstructionism, and protecting climate policy solutions. Watching 3 skill-building sessions from any category is required to complete the training. Videos are approximately 20 minutes long.

Live Skill-Building Workshops

Now let’s workshop it! Put the skills learned to practice in these interactive workshops that correspond to each of the skill-building learning videos. Attending 1 workshop is required to complete the training. Workshops last from 45-60 minutes.   

Engaging With Climate Reality

YOUTH AND REGIONAL BREAKOUTS

This optional hour-long networking session will provide an opportunity to learn more about what’s happening at the local level in regions across the country, as well as be an informal space to engage with other future Climate Reality Leaders attending the training from the same geographic area or constituency.
