Emissions are rising. Temperatures are climbing. And anti-climate actions from leaders in countries across the globe are becoming more frequent and dangerous.
That’s why we’re launching the REALITY® Tour, a series of in-person training events and an online experience to build the political will, public momentum, and ambition for bold climate commitments leading up to the UN’s COP 30 climate summit in Brazil.
2025 is a vital year for our climate future.
It marks the 10-year anniversary of the Paris Agreement – the seminal international accord to hold warming to as low as 1.5 degrees Celsius. It is also the deadline for the next round of submissions of nationally determined contributions (NDCs) - every nation’s five-year plan for reducing emissions in accordance with the Agreement - and will provide a clear picture of global progress toward important emissions benchmarks.

It all wraps up in November at COP 30 in Brazil, where climate advocates and global leaders will work together to raise collective ambition and push to stop rising temperatures.
The REALITY® Tour will rally people in this key year to raise their voices to protect our climate and press decision-makers worldwide for the ambitious action necessary to avert catastrophe and meet critical emissions reduction targets.
The tour will feature three unique components:
Global In-Person Advocacy Trainings
The 2025 tour will include multi-day, in-person trainings around the world, with major events in Paris, France; Nairobi, Kenya; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; and Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
For our first training of the year, Climate Reality will return to the city that gave the world hope for our future. We will be in Paris from March 28-30, reflecting on the Paris Agreement’s achievements and educating climate advocates on the vital work ahead to phase out fossil fuels and accelerate energy transition all while offering new and impactful ways to take action.
Next up is Nairobi in June. Climate change is increasingly affecting Kenya's environment and people, causing more frequent and severe weather events. These events impact agriculture, infrastructure, and energy production, and threaten coastal communities. But Kenya is fighting back – with plans to submit a new and ambitious NDC in 2025, and is leading the way in renewable energy adoption in Africa – making it an ideal place for Climate Reality to host a training.
Nairobi will be followed by an in-person training in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in August. Brazil will host COP 30 later this year and is dedicated to climate action. Our training will be a chance to galvanize climate leaders in the country ahead of the crucial COP meeting and to emphasize the global leadership that Brazil must display in order to host a successful COP. Following three COPs held in petrostates, Brazil marks the first COP in years to be held in a country that is truly working toward a better climate future.
After Brazil comes Mongolia. We will conclude the global training portion of the tour in October in Ulaanbaatar, the nation’s capital. Mongolia faces many unique climate challenges. It has warmed over 2°C since 1940, much faster than the global average, and is regularly affected by climate-exacerbated severe weather, including dire droughts and heat waves. Despite this, the movement for solutions is fragmented, and many in the nation lack the tools to engage effectively. With our training, we will be looking to change that, with hopes to create a unified movement for a sustainable future that has the tools and connections to create real change.
Branch-led In-Person Advocacy Trainings
In addition to our multi-day global training events, Climate Reality’s branch offices will host one-day trainings for advocates, growing their base of support and demand for action in countries the world over.
This distributed training model will allow our branches to grow their network and infuse it with new energy and excitement in the fight for solutions to the climate crisis. These events will have access to recorded content from our upcoming Paris training, including former Vice President Al Gore’s signature slide show on climate impacts and solutions, and each branch will also host local panels, networking, and actions in their own country or region.
On March 29, branch-led trainings will take place in Brazil, Canada, the Philippines and South Africa, and on April 5, they will take place in Fiji, India, Indonesia, Japan, and Mexico.
Attendees of both the in-person global and local trainings will become a member of the Climate Reality Leadership Corps and join the global Climate Reality movement of over 3.8 million supporters worldwide.
Online Global Experience
To reach climate activists around the world, Climate Reality is establishing a dedicated digital platform with content from the global training in Paris.
Those who sign up will be able to watch former Vice President Gore give his signature climate presentation in any of 12 available languages – Arabic, Bahasa Indonesia, Bengali, English, French, Hindi, Japanese, Mandarin, Portuguese, Spanish, Tagalog, and Urdu. They will also have access to other key discussions from the Paris global training.
This online experience will be available for audiences worldwide through COP 30 in November. Our hope is that it will inspire action at a time when it is needed most.
